A Closer Look
I brought out my long lens to get a closer look at the pieces of bridge that they are collecting near campus.
The steel almost looks like letters. I want to go down and photograph it more closely in an exploration of abstract shape and color — perhaps to express the scale and incomprehensibility of events.
That’s right, photo babble. You know you want it.
I thought they looked like letters in the last photo too. I even paid enough attention to see if one really was shaped like a letter or if they would spell something if I squinted.
You are already expressing the scale and incomprehensibility of events. Can you imagine the pressure and weight it took to bend steel beams like that? Wow. The rust and spray painted logging information also speaks volumes. Sad volumes.
